This sign project is a favorite. The owners of The Wine Reserve At Waterford allowed for a lot of creative freedom, working toward their described aesthetic goal, which suits the overall sense and feel of their tasting room and vineyard, while being an eye catching feature helping draw customer’s into their location, hidden just off a main road, Rt. 9, up a short gravel driveway, yet entirely out of sight from the road.
This sign is build from laser cut corten steel, bolted to an aluminum frame. There is some depth and contrast added by the second panel of aluminum, both contoured to mimic the mountain ridge lines seen from the tasting room. Installed with the raw steel mill finish, and allowed to weather over time, the Corten steel has taken on the deep natural orange/brown color of the natural steel oxide – Rust, Patina, call it what you like, we think it looks awesome!
